HERITACIDE TIME

At the heart of ANFIHA’s journey lies a commitment to preserving heritage through fashion. This year, ANFIHA proudly brings its latest collection, HERITACIDE, to the international stage of Istanbul Fashion Connection 2025, as part of the Indonesian International Modest Fashion Festival (IN2MF) supported by Bank Indonesia.

HERITACIDE is more than just clothing—it is a statement. The collection reflects a quiet resistance against the slow erasure of culture and identity. Every piece tells a story: of grief transformed into resilience, of heritage carried forward through fabric, form, and expression. It is our reminder that heritage will not disappear—if we choose to wear it.

Crafted with natural fabrics, HERITACIDE is elevated through slashing and quilting techniques, creating strong silhouettes with bold contemporary lines. At its core, the collection proudly features batik elements, created in collaboration with Batik Seruni Dayun, an artisan from Siak Regency, Riau Province, Indonesia. This partnership not only honors traditional craftsmanship but also ensures that ancestral artistry continues to thrive on the world stage.

From sharp cuts to layered textures, HERITACIDE merges modern expression with cultural depth. Each design is a balance between the past and the present, between what must be remembered and what can be reimagined.

Through HERITACIDE, ANFIHA reimagines cultural symbols not as artifacts of the past, but as living expressions that can adapt and thrive in the present. The slashing and quilting techniques symbolize disruption and healing: slashes representing the wounds of cultural erosion, and quilting representing the act of mending and preserving.

The use of batik from Siak is especially meaningful. Each motif is a story of identity, community, and artistry. By integrating it into contemporary silhouettes, ANFIHA honors the artisans behind the craft while making heritage relevant for today’s generation and beyond.

Ultimately, HERITACIDE is a declaration: heritage is not static, nor is it fragile. It lives on when we wear it, carry it, and pass it forward.
